I'm thinking of taking some photos of the sunrise... probably not the next one because I'm still up writing and its 1am, which means a 4pm wake up for me! I guess I'll have to settle for sunset. Now I wonder how to get on the roof...

What if...

I wonder what would happen if I took a picture of the sun...

Out In The Desert

Here are a few shots I took in the desert. I'm happy to have had the day I did - the wind was round about 25km/h, but it gave a nice effect on the sand blowing over the ridges of the dunes, and the skies were clear except for the haze of sand.

Amber

Here's Amber, one of our cats. She's recently taken a liking to the plant on the stairs, and her kitten Twiglet often sits behind her, hiding behind the leaves.

Lunar

Here is photo I managed to get of the moon - it's the only one that isn't blurred.

Introduction

My name is Nahum, friends call me Ash, and I'm 16. I became interested in photography in late 2009, and after a holiday to Austria in Spring 2010, things really began to take off for me. I discovered my passion for photography high up in the Austrian Alps, and began shooting for more than just a photo – I wanted art.

I'm now the proud owner of a Canon EOS 500D, and I shoot mostly in RAW with manual shutter speed, ISO, aperture etc. I love to experiment with different settings for effect (just try shooting the sun with ISO-100, 1/4000 and F4 – see what you get!) and I love just getting out of the house to see what photos I can take. Although I love landscape photography, I'll shoot anything that might look good on some glossy paper!

Although I'm from London, I live in Dubai which isn't that great for photography – there are only so many times you can shoot the desert, a camel, some tall buildings and a beach! Here, it's really about squeezing what you can out of the scenery but I enjoy the challenge and here's what I have to show.

Enjoy!
